NO.135 Given is the following defect removal chart reported at the end of system testing – showing total defects detected and closed defects (fixed and successfully retested). A number of open defects are classified as critical. All tests have been executed.

Project management and control

No complete requirements specification

Time-boxing

NO.139 The cost of fixing a fault:

Is not important

Increases as we move the product towards live use

Decreases as we move the product towards live use

Is more expensive if found in requirements than functional design

Can never be determined

NO.140 “Experience based” test design techniques, typically…

Use decision tables to generate the Boolean test conditions to be executed.

Identify the structure of the system or software at the component, integration or system level.

Use the skill, intuition and experience of the tester to derive the test cases, using error guessing and exploratory testing.

Establish traceability from test conditions back to the specifications and requirements.

NO.141 Equivalence Partitioning is best defined as:

An analysis technique that divides inputs into groups that are expected to exhibit similar behaviors.

Applying to time-related data classes only.

A form of white-box testing.

A method to reduce test coverage.

NO.142 Which of the following are the most important factors to be taken into account when selecting test techniques?
(i)
Tools available.
(ii)
Regulatory standards.
(iii) Experience of the development team.
(iv) Knowledge of the test team.
The need to maintain levels of capability in each technique.

(i) and (ii)

(ii) and (iv)

(iii) and (iv)

(i) and (v)

NO.143 Which of the following is the main purpose of the component build and integration strategy?

to ensure that all of the small components are tested

to ensure that the system interfaces to other systems and networks

to ensure that the integration testing can be performed by a small team

to specify how the software should be divided into components

to specify which components to combine when, and how many at once

NO.144

The decision table above reflects a golf club’s pricing structure for green fees and buggy/cart hire.
What is the expected result (actions) for each of the following two test cases (TC1 and TC2)?
TC1 – Paul is not a full member, is a Loyalty Card holder and requests to play 18 holes with a buggy/cart TC2 – Cheryl is not a full member, doesn’t have a Loyalty Card and requests to play 9 holes with a buggy/cart

TC1 – E23 total charge including buggy hire; TC2 – E21 total charge including buggy hire

TC1 – E18 total charge including buggy hire; TC2 – E16 total charge including buggy hire

TC1 – E23 total charge including buggy hire; TC2 – E16 total charge including buggy hire

TC1 – E17 total charge including buggy hire; TC2 – E21 total charge including buggy hire

NO.145 Which of the following statements about risks is most accurate?

Project risks rarely affect product risk.

Product risks rarely affect project risk.

A risk-based approach is more likely to be used to mitigate product rather than project risks.

A risk-based approach is more likely to be used to mitigate project rather than product risks.

NO.146 Which of the following is a white box testing design characteristic?

To be based on specifications

To be based on an analysis of the test basis documentation

To be based on an analysis of the structure of the component or system

To include both functional and non-functional testing

NO.147 What do you mean by “Having to say NO”..?

No, the problem is not with testers

No, the software is not ready for production

Both a & b

Test planning, test case preparation and test execution for each of the four iterations

Work should be explicitly allocated to test completion, test management, installation and to training on using the system
