QUESTION 56
Which statement regarding Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) peering is valid?

QUESTION 57
Which resource do you manage in an Infrastructure-as-a-services (IAAS) offering?

Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is a type of cloud service model in which computing resources are hosted in the cloud. Businesses can use the IaaS model to shift some or all of their use of on-premises or colocated data center infrastructure to the cloud, where it is owned and managed by a cloud provider. These infrastructure elements can include compute, network, and storage hardware as well as other components and software.
How Does IaaS Work?
In a typical IaaS model, a business-which can be of any size-consumes services like compute, storage, and databases from a cloud provider. The cloud provider offers those services by hosting hardware and software in the cloud. The business will no longer need to purchase and manage its own equipment, or space to host the equipment, and the cost will shift to a pay-as-you-go model. When the business needs less, it pays for less. And when it grows, it can provision additional computing resources and other technologies in minutes.

QUESTION 58
Your company has deployed a business critical application in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. What should you do to ensure that your application has the highest level of resilience and availability?

To design a high availability architecture, three key elements should be considered- redundancy, monitoring, and failover:
1) Redundancy means that multiple components can perform the same task. The problem of a single point of failure is eliminated because redundant components can take over a task performed by a component that has failed.
2) Monitoring means checking whether or not a component is working properly.
3) Failover is the process by which a secondary component becomes primary when the primary component fails.
The best practices introduced here focus on these three key elements. Although high availability can be achieved at many different levels, including the application level and the cloud infrastructure level, here we will focus on the cloud infrastructure level.
An Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region is a localized geographic area composed of one or more availability domains, each composed of three fault domains. High availability is ensured by a redundancy of fault domains within the availability domains.
An availability domain is one or more data centers located within a region. Availability domains are isolated from each other, fault tolerant, and unlikely to fail simultaneously. Because availability domains do not share physical infrastructure, such as power or cooling, or the internal availability domain network, a failure that impacts one availability domain is unlikely to impact the availability of others.
A fault domain is a grouping of hardware and infrastructure within an availability domain. Each availability domain contains three fault domains. Fault domains let you distribute your instances so that they are not on the same physical hardware within a single availability domain. As a result, an unexpected hardware failure or a Compute hardware maintenance that affects one fault domain does not affect instances in other fault domains. You can optionally specify the fault domain for a new instance at launch time, or you can let the system select one for you.
All the availability domains in a region are connected to each other by a low-latency, high bandwidth network. This predictable, encrypted interconnection between availability domains provides the building blocks for both high availability and disaster recovery.

QUESTION 59
What is the primary purpose of a Network Security Group (NSG) in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking service?

The primary purpose of a network security group (NSG) in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking service is to control traffic flow between specific resources within a VCN. An NSG is a set of virtual firewall rules that can be applied to one or more resources, such as instances, load balancers, or database nodes. NSGs allow users to define granular security policies for different types of resources within a VCN.

QUESTION 60
Which statement best describes the relationship Oracle Cloud infrastructure regions and Availability Domains?

An availability domain is a part of a region. A region is a localized geographic area composed of one or more availability domains. An availability domain is one or more data centers located within a region that have fault-tolerant power and network connectivity. Availability domains are isolated from each other within a region, which provides protection from failures that affect multiple data centers at once.

QUESTION 61
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Budgets can be set on which two options?

A budget can be used to set soft limits on your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure spending. You can set alerts on your budget to let you know when you might exceed your budget, and you can view all of your budgets and spending from one single place in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.
How Budgets Work:
Budgets are set on cost-tracking tags or on compartments (including the root compartment) to track all spending in that cost-tracking tag or for that compartment and its children.
All budgets alerts are evaluated every 15 minutes. To see the last time a budget was evaluated, open the details for a budget. You will see fields that show the current spend, the forecast and the “Spent in period” field which shows you the time period over which the budget was evaluated. When a budget alert fires, the email recipients configured in the budget alert receive an email.

QUESTION 62
Which Oracle Cloud Infrastructure service allows you to run code without provisioning any underlying infrastructure resources?

Oracle Functions is a fully managed, multi-tenant, highly scalable, on-demand, Functions-as-a-Service platform. It is built on enterprise-grade Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and powered by the Fn Project open source engine. Use Oracle Functions (sometimes abbreviated to just Functions) when you want to focus on writing code to meet business needs.
The serverless and elastic architecture of Oracle Functions means there’s no infrastructure administration or software administration for you to perform. You don’t provision or maintain compute instances, and operating system software patches and upgrades are applied automatically. Oracle Functions simply ensures your app is highly-available, scalable, secure, and monitored. With Oracle Functions, you can write code in Java, Python, Node, Go, and Ruby (and for advanced use cases, bring your own Dockerfile, and Graal VM). You can then deploy your code, call it directly or trigger it in response to events, and get billed only for the resources consumed during the execution.

QUESTION 63
Which statement is VALID for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Registry (OCIR)?

A single registry can contain both private and public Docker repositories in OCIR. A private repository requires authentication to pull images, while a public repository allows anyone with internet access and the appropriate URL to pull images. You can create and manage both types of repositories using the OCI Console or the Docker CLI3.

QUESTION 64
You store multiple versions of objects In a bucket, but your IT team has asked you to delete any previous object versions 120 days after the object version transitions from the latest version to a previous version.
Which Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage feature can be used for this purpose?

Object Lifecycle Management is the OCI Object Storage feature that can be used for the purpose of deleting any previous object versions 120 days after the object version transitions from the latest version to a previous version. Object Lifecycle Management allows you to create rules to automatically manage the deletion or archival of objects in a bucket based on predefined criteria, such as time, size, or name. You can use Object Lifecycle Management to reduce your storage costs and optimize your data management3 To achieve the desired outcome, you can create an Object Lifecycle Management rule that applies to all previous object versions in a bucket and specifies an age-based time rule that deletes objects 120 days after they become noncurrent versions. This rule will automatically delete any previous object versions that are older than 120 days from the date they were replaced by newer versions4 The other features are not suitable for this purpose. Pre-Authenticated Requests are a way to grant temporary access to your Object Storage resources without requiring users to have an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure identity. Pre-Authenticated Requests allow you to create URLs that can be used to access buckets or objects for a limited time period5 Retention Rules are a way to prevent objects from being deleted or overwritten for a specified period of time. Retention Rules allow you to create policies that enforce minimum retention durations for objects in a bucket or with specific prefixes. Retention Rules help you comply with regulatory or business requirements for data preservation6 Multipart Uploads are a way to upload large objects in parts rather than as a single operation. Multipart Uploads allow you to resume uploads, improve performance, and increase reliability for uploading large objects. Multipart Uploads help you overcome network or service disruptions during uploads7

QUESTION 65
A customer wants a dedicated and secure connection to their on-premises data center from their Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources.
Which TWO OCI services can be used?
(Choose all correct answers)

QUESTION 66
Which feature does the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute service leverage for ensuring high availability of applications?

Fault domains are the feature that the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute service leverages for ensuring high availability of applications. A fault domain is a grouping of hardware and infrastructure within an availability domain that is isolated from other fault domains. Fault domains provide protection from unexpected hardware failures or power interruptions within an availability domain.

QUESTION 67
Which option provides the best performance for running OTLP workloads in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)?

https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/atp-cloud/index.html

QUESTION 68
Oracle cloud Infrastructure is compliant with which three industry standards?

Here is the official list of all industry standards that OCI complies with : https://www.oracle.com/in/cloud/cloud-infrastructure-compliance/

QUESTION 69
A banking platform has been re-designed to a microservices-based architecture using Docker containers. Which Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) service should be used for deploying these microservices?

QUESTION 70
Which TWO statements correctly describe Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Service Level Agreements (SLAs)? (Choose all correct answers)

SLAs are Oracle’s commitments to specific aspects of OCI services, measured over a calendar month and expressed as monthly uptime percentages or monthly performance rates. Oracle is committed to providing the best-in-class service levels and believes that SLAs are key performance indicators for customers of cloud providers. Each OCI service has its own definition of service level. OCI offers competitive SLAs for more than 50 PaaS and IaaS public cloud services4 SLAs are defined as a number of nines for a month and a percentage credit. For example, Oracle NoSQL Database Cloud Service offers an availability SLA of 99.995%. If the monthly uptime percentage falls below 99.995%, but is equal to or greater than 99%, then the customer is eligible for a 10% credit for their spend for that service; if the monthly uptime percentage falls below 99%, but is equal to or greater than 95%, then the customer is eligible for a 25% credit; if the monthly uptime percentage falls below 95%, then the customer is eligible for a 100% credit4 SLAs are financially backed commitments to provide a minimum level of service to customers. If Oracle does not meet an SLA commitment in any given month during your subscription term (for example if your monthly uptime percentage falls below the specified threshold), then you may be eligible for a credit toward your future consumption of that service (for example 10%, 25%, or 100% depending on the severity of the breach). To receive this credit you must submit a claim within 30 days after the end of that month with supporting evidence as specified in the SLA policy document (for example screenshots or log files)4

QUESTION 71
Which is NOT available to you whenever Oracle Cloud Infrastructure creates or resolves an incident?

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Notifications service broadcasts messages to distributed components through a publish-subscribe pattern, delivering secure, highly reliable, low latency and durable messages for applications hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and externally. Use Notifications to get notified when event rules are triggered or alarms are breached, or to directly publish a message.
Messages sent out as email by the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Notifications service are processed and delivered through Oracle resources Reference:
https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Notification/Concepts/notificationoverview.htm

QUESTION 72
Which statement is NOT true about compartments in Oracle Cloud infrastructure?

Compartments do not provide a way to store and manage encryption keys and secrets in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Compartments are logical containers that help users organize and isolate their cloud resources. Compartments can be nested to create a hierarchy that reflects the structure of an organization or project. To store and manage encryption keys and secrets, users can use the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Vault service, which is a fully managed service that provides centralized management of encryption keys, secrets, and certificates.

QUESTION 73
Which of the following services can you control access to via IAM?

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Identity and Access Management (IAM) lets you control who has access to your cloud resources. You can control what type of access a group of users have and to which specific resources. This section gives you an overview of IAM components and an example scenario to help you understand how they work together.
